Lap Time Activities with Baby A

Baby A has been very engaged with her toys in the crib for a while now. I thought of introducing some lap time activities with her for some variation.  Some of the activities can even help to engage the leg muscles!

Here's some of the laptime activities that engaged Baby A:

Baby A on mummy's laps

This one is a old time game that many of you would probably remember. Old games can tickle young babies too!

This little piggy
Pointing at each of her fingers, I said
This little piggy went to market,
this little piggy stayed home,
this little piggy had roast chicken
and this little piggy had none
This little piggy cried wee wee wee all the way home. *tickles baby*

Pop goes the weasel
I sing
All around the mulberry bush
the monkey chased the weasel
the monkey thought it was all in fun
POP goes the weasel

Baby A with Ms Ladybug

I put on a pair of socks on Annabelle. What is special about this pair of sock is that a Ms Ladybug and Mr bee is sewn on it and acts as a rattle as well. So Baby A will move and kick her leg so that Ms Ladybug and Mr bee will make noises. And because the colour is attractive, she would want to lift it up to see her 'friends'! Yup, you guessed right, we're working on her leg muscles!
