Night 1 with Sleep Training (8 Weeks Old)

We started a night time routine for Baby A where she takes a bath, reads a story book, and then the darkening of the room.

I left her on the bed for about 15 minutes and she was quietly alert. But, after 15 minutes, I guess she got tired but could not put herself to sleep, she started crying.

I picked her up and allowed her to drink to her heart's content. When I saw her eyelids getting heavy, i tried putting her down. She protested. So, we repeated the process about 4 times before she was willing to fall asleep.

It is a little more difficult in the middle of the nights though, I cannot determine whether Baby A has fallen asleep or not, or is tired, cause the entire time her eyes are close and she has this amazing ability to suck while sleeping. So, I take her out when her suckle becomes really weak.

So far, our schedule is as such:

Time: 10:54pm fell asleep

Time: 2.10pm
How baby woke me up: start to stir, sharp cry
How baby fell back to sleep: hard suckle- weak suckle - slept

Time: 5am (2.5 hour)
How baby woke me up: cry
How baby fell back to sleep: hard suckle- weak suckle - slept

Time: 7am (2 hours)
How baby woke me up: cry
How baby fell back to sleep: hard suckle- weak suckle - slept
